Edmonton Raises 4,000+ Volunteer Hours at Timeraiser

The results are in--Edmonton's first ever Timeraiser raised 4,145 volunteer hours!
The part volunteer fair, part silent art auction and part night out on the town is designed to help young professionals find meaningful volunteer opportunities with local charitable agencies. Held at the TransAlta Arts Barns on October 17, the volunteer event had over 300 people in attendance.
Other highlights include:
1. 180 participants making the 'pledge'.
2. 4,145 total volunteer hours pledged, of which 50 per cent pledged by art bidders.
3. 21 of the 25 works of art went for their maximum bid.
4. 20 Timeraiser volunteers contributed 1,000+ hours to organize.
5. $12,000+ invested into the careers of local emerging artists.
6. 25+ community leaders, online social media and traditional media in attendance.
7. Supporters in attendance: Enbridge, EPCOR, Molson, CityTV, Edmonton Airports, CKUA Radio, Next Gen, Shaw TV, Volunteer Edmonton, United Way Capital Region, and members of ChangeCamp Edmonton.
